Everyone’s favorite Meekins Market is returning soon! Starting on Saturday, November 23, 2024, the traditional Meekins Market will run through December 21, 2024. Donations from library friends and long-time Market enthusiasts have been coming in all year. Help make the Meekins’ very own special-in house tag sale a joyful success once again.
The Market tables in the hallway leading to the beautiful Bacon Rotunda are chock full, with new things coming in every day. Children and adults will find lots of small, and not so small, inexpensive gifts to give friends and loved ones. Kids, don’t know what to give your sisters, brothers, or cousins? Grandparents, want something for the grandkids? Looking for an idea for your best friend, but your budget is limited? Find it at Meekins Market. Most items are between $1 dollar and $10 dollars. Find stuffed animals, games, puzzles, decorative objects, household items, scarves and mittens, a sweater or two, jewelry, holiday items, an occasional vintage surprise and much more. Think of it as the newest trend in recycling. Fun stuff @ a good deal! And you support your local library.
Don’t forget to get and give the gift that keeps on giving—a library card. It is free and lasts a lifetime and is good for books, magazines, DVDs, and CDs. It provides online access to movies, audio books, serves as a key to the virtual world, and is a passport to all library programs and so much more. Seasonal books, DVDs, and CDs will be displayed
all around the building—ready to be checked out too.
Check the website for our seasonal library programs, including the annual holiday reading on December 8, 2024, from 1:30-3 p.m., reading stories and sharing warm treats with friends and neighbors. In the spirit of the season, bring a donation for the local Williamsburg Neighbors-Helping-Neighbors Pantry. Or add something to the warm clothing exchange basket in the library entry where you can also find something that suits you too.

Stop by any time the library is open: Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Meekins is closed on November 28th and on December 24th and 25th.
