The Class of 1947 was small—only 14 strong—but mighty. They decided they wanted to take a class trip to New York City. But how would they raise the money? By producing a Senior Class play! “Don’t Darken My Door” (a comedy in three acts, by Anne Coulter Martens) was a money maker.

The actors all came from the graduating class. Leo F. Parent directed the students, who began practicing in December! They played to appreciative audiences at the Town Hall for a matinee and two evening performances. The humor and antics of the performers were so well enjoyed by the spectators, that they took the show on the road to Cummington and Chesterfield.
