For decades the Friends of the Williamsburg Libraries have held a book sale on the lawn of the Meekins Library (or occasionally in the Grange Hall—see 1990 photo). Traditionally it has been on the second weekend in October, when the town is bright and festive in colorful autumnal splendor. This year it is on Saturday and Sunday, October 8th and 9th, 2022, from 9 am to 2 pm.
Tables are filled with books, books and more books: fiction, biographies, histories, art books, cookbooks, and lots of kids chapter books and picture books. Come and browse for one book or fill a specially made book bag to the brim. Friendly Friend volunteers will share their favorites—just ask.
Pick out a special book for your grandmother or your best friend. Browsing books is fun for all ages. You never know what treasure you will uncover to take home. Rain or shine—come to the library for the book sale. This year be part of this long-standing Meekins tradition. Daria D’Arienzo, Meekins Archivist.
