Over the years, the Meekins Library has seen all kinds of crazy winter weather. It’s been buried in show, shines brightly in the winter light with snow accents, and sits stately in a snowy landscape. Meekins has been snowed in and dug out—and continues to be a warm and cozy oasis in the winter cold. Enjoy the photographs of the “snow trail” of Meekins over time. After this latest big storm, on a cold winter day, come to Meekins to enjoy a good book in a comfortable chair, take a turn at community Scrabble, chat with your neighbor, find a heartwarming DVD for your evening entertainment—or just enjoy the snowy view from the big windows inside your warm Library. (Tues. 10-6; Wed. 1-7; Thurs. 3-6; Sat. 9-2; and virtually any time at https://meekins-library.org.) Daria D’Arienzo, Meekins Archivist and recent photographer. #throwbackthursday; #tbt.
