Snow season is upon us. And what better way to spend your time, then warm and cozy in Meekins, your local community library. Festive both inside and out, Meekins offers all kinds of nooks and crannies for tucking away with a good book, magazine or local paper; watching your favorite movie or local history documentary; computers for you online needs; tables with a snowy river view, for those portable craft projects you want to indulge in; playing a game, or working on a puzzle; comfy chairs for knitting or mending; rocking chairs for reading to your grandchildren; art exhibitions for viewing; scavenger hunts for the young and young at heart; and friendly folks to talk to. At the Library you can drop off items for the Neighbors Helping Neighbors pantry, and you can find the warm clothing exchange box in the foyer—leave a coat or take a coat. And in December, do a bit of “shopping” or enter the puzzle raffle at the 17th annual Meekins Market. So much to do at the Library!
Come in from the cold and step into the cheerful Meekins offering seasonal and holiday books, DVDs, CD’s, puzzles and more. Spend some time here near the light-bedecked fireplace mantel or check out something that will keep you snow cozy at home. Meekins is open Tuesday 10-6; Wednesday 1-7; Thursday 3-6; and Saturday 9-2.
