An evergreen wreath graces the old big wooden Library door. Several poinsettias saved from season to season have bloomed again. Star Santa was discovered hiding in Local History. The winter village shines brightly and has visitors every day. Snow has come and gone and will come again. Meekins, like the town, is merry and bright.
Enjoy this virtual seasonal stroll through town in its winter finery. In the town center, the Market, the Bank, the Grange, Burgy Brews, and the light posts on Main Street are all bedecked. Even the Church wears simple green wreaths. Around the edges of town, the flashes of red of the Nash Hill Schoolhouse and some local barns provide festive color. Stacks of logs remind us of winter to come and the snow-covered holly look lovely on a winter day.
Meekins wishes the best of the season to all townsfolk, friends, and neighbors near and far. Daria D’Arienzo, Meekins Archivist and photographer. #throwbackthursday; #tbt.
