Taking a stroll through Williamsburg during the holiday season will brighten your spirits: the town snow-covered and all dressed up. Over the years what did you see? The bank and the market all lit up; evergreen trees sparkling with lights; the tavern draped in garlands and lights; carolers singing in town center; a greenery-draped bank keeping them covered; a song-filled horse-drawn wagon rolling along North Main to Buttonshop Road; looking up, you saw the bright star atop the church; walking up the hill, the New Village Hill Cemetery basked in the sunshine or laid low in the mist; in town center the old front door of the Meekins Library cheerfully decorated with a green and red wreath; in your car driving east, you saw great big vehicles whimsically decorated with festive lights; back in town even a practical woodshed had its small Snoopy-sized wreath, and looking down you saw a greeting in the snow from a neighbor who had passed the way before you on this winter amble. Peaceful holiday wishes to all! #throwbackthursday #TBT
