Our featured gallery artist for March is Joy Kinigstein.

Artist statement: Many years ago I viewed an art exhibit of paired portraits, paintings intended as diptychs, but separated – sometimes for centuries. I was struck by how these reunited depictions, though independently successful, together, created a more complex and complete narrative. CONNECTIONS, a collection of recent paintings and collages by Haydenville artist, Joy Kinigstein was inspired by that long ago exhibition.

Available for viewing during open library hours this March. The gallery occupies the same space as our community room; if there is an ongoing program, we ask that patrons refrain from interrupting the event.

An artist’s reception will be held on Saturday March 21, between 2:00 and 4:30.
