Want the latest bestseller? Come into Meekins. Want to listen to a spine-tingling thriller? Want “Goodnight Moon” to soothe your child to sleep? Want to learn a poem a day for the month of April? Want to read the local papers in comfort? Want some help with that pesky school report? Want to use a computer? Want to know more about our town history? Want to play board games, or Lego, or D&D? Want to hear the best children’s books at story time? Want to see your friends and neighbors and chat under the rotunda? Come into Meekins. Want to sit in beautiful gardens and still be wi-fi connected? Come outside to Meekins. We welcome you inside and out.

You can’t come in person? Come virtually. Find connections to old Williamsburg High School yearbooks thorough our Local History links. Find a great film to watch with Kanopy. Find an e-book and an e-audiobook with your Libby app. Join our Zoom book club and discuss good books.

Just want to talk to a person? Call a Librarian @ 413-268-7472.

For more that 125 years Meekins has been your town library. Did you come in as kid? Have you been visiting for decades? Do you remember sneaking up into the low glass-floored mezzanine stacks under the rotunda? Did you look with amazement at the big open space after the renovation in 2003? How many librarians have you known? How many do you know now?

During National Library Week visit your hometown library in person or virtually. As the author Neil Gaiman says: “… librarians help … people navigate the world.” Daria D’Arienzo, Meekins Archivist and photographer. #throwbackthursday; #tbt.
