Meekins Library Bulletin Board Policy
In providing public bulletin boards, the library does not imply endorsement of the events or services advertised. Materials that endorse or oppose a political candidate or ballot issue will not allowed.
All posted materials are displayed at the owner’s risk.
Entryway Bulletin Board
The entryway bulletin board is for non-profit groups only. Businesses or for-profit organizations should post on the Community Bulletin Board by the restrooms.
On the entryway bulletin board, the library gives priority to notices about:
- Library programs
- Other programs and events that promote literacy, books and reading
- Town announcements
- Concerts, cultural events, lectures and workshops
- Informational postings and resources from non-profits
No postings larger than 8 ½” x 11”.
Notices without an event date should be dated by the person posting. Postings will be removed after 3 months.
Library staff may remove postings that are outdated or do not abide with the policy.
Community Bulletin Board
The community bulletin boards are located at the back of the first floor near the public restrooms. Local businesses and service providers may post on the community bulletin boards.
Library staff may remove bulletin board postings and event notices periodically.
