Artist Reception: Greg Bodnar Fine Woodworking

Join us for a reception featuring November’s featured artist, woodworker Greg Bodnar.
Born in New Jersey in 1957, Greg worked as a carpenter for 10 years after graduating high school before going to Leeds Design Workshops and learning from master cabinet maker, David Powell. He then apprenticed to Frank Klausz, a master cabinet maker from Hungary.
Greg won an honorary mention at the Quilts & Fine Woodworking show at the Pioneer Museum, Colorado Springs, won 1st prize in the contemporary furniture class at the Design in Wood competition at the San Diego County fair. He also won an honorary mention in the open carving class. He has been published in Current Work in the June 2001 edition of Fine Woodworking magazine.
Artist Statement: As a young boy I grew up in the woods. I learned to love the forest, building tree forts and bow and arrows. My reverence for the trees spills over into my work. I believe in the American Craftsmen.
