Migration to the Digital Commonwealth
The Digital Treasures Project of C/WMARS has merged with the state's Digital Commonwealth collection. The forty-three Williamsburg items previously listed in Digital Treasures can now be found in the Digital Commonwealth along with many other digitized Williamburg items. Search for items from Williamsburg and Haydenville using the search terms "Williamsburg Massachusetts", "Meekins Library", or "Haydenville Massachusetts".
Digital Commonwealth is a non-profit collaborative organization that provides resources and services to support the creation, management, and dissemination of cultural heritage materials held by Massachusetts libraries, museums, historical societies, and archives. Digital Commonwealth currently has over 130 member institutions from across the state. Both the Meekins Library and the Williamsburg Historical Society will soon be listed.
The site provides access to thousands of images, documents, and sound recordings that have been digitized by member institutions so that they may be available to researchers, students, and the general public.
